Conditions of Charter
Your houseboat will be vacated by
the agreed return time on last day of hire, otherwise penalty rates apply.
All pets are strictly prohibited due to Health Department and State Forest Park
regulations. All firearms are also prohibited. Houseboats cannot stow or tow any
recreational craft or dinghies. If you really need to bring your own dinghy,
please discuss this possibility with us first.
Security Bond
All charters require a $1000
security bond for insurance purposes, payable on arrival with cash or credit
card. Surcharges (from $10 a day - see Insurance below) are available to reduce
the bond payment to $300. We accept Visa, MasterCard & Bankcard. At the end of
your holiday the vessel is thoroughly checked & the bond is refunded provided the boat is returned
on time, clean & undamaged & all charter
conditions have been followed.
Insurance Option A - Our boats are
fully insured. However, should damage be incurred you will be
responsible for paying up to the first $1000 of any loss from the security bond.
Option B - For $10 (economy houseboat) or $20 (luxury houseboat) per day,
you can reduce the $1000 security bond down to $300. (Maximum surcharge payment is $40 economy
and $80 luxury). A security
bond of $1000 for Option A or $10-$20 per day plus $300 for Option B is required
for Insurance on arrival and will be paid by cash or credit card only.
Cancellation
Should you be compelled to
cancel your charter, please notify us as soon as possible. Provided at least one
month's notice of cancellation is received, the deposit is refundable, less a
$50 cancellation fee. In the event of cancellation with less than 30 days
notice, the full charter fee will be refunded less the $100 reservation deposit
provided the boat is re-chartered.
In the unfortunate event
of the vessel booked becoming unavailable for hire at the appointed time by
reason of accident, weather, late return or other circumstances whatsoever
beyond the immediate control of the owners, time lost will be credited at the
pro rata rate.
Should such delay extend beyond one day (24hrs) guests have the option of
obtaining a full refund. The owners cannot accept liability for any expenses
whatsoever incurred by a hirer or intending hirer of one of their vessels,
should the hire period be affected by any circumstances beyond their control.
This Charter Reservation Form and subsequent Charter Agreement must be signed by
an adult.
